All things considered, Stammler is probably the best of my Hybrid Perpetuals. The plant is big
and healthy, the blooms are bright and plentiful and it reblooms
decently well right on through summer. This year it got a hard cut back
as there were lots of tall, sprawly canes which could be happily
shortened. Whether that will bring a fall bloom remains to be seen, but early results are extremely promising. A couple of weeks after the cut back, there is a substantial increase in the quantity of buds.
